She's not bleeding on the ballroom floor just for the attention...

That's just ridiculous...ly odd...

I have been thinking about quotes a lot recently, maybe it's all the essay questions I have been thinking about.  Any way coming home tonight one kind of came into my mind.

"Fool me once, shame one me"

But, seriously how many times is this now?  I really wonder if there is some truth to what people tell me.  I guess it begs the question are the masses ever wrong?

YES

Two elections, well one, in a row.  Go out and vote.  I will say that both candidates have their flaws, but there is one obvious answer.  Go out and vote.  Our country is so much shit right now, every American needs to do their part and vote.

Anyway I have been meaning to post a blog about three amazing CDs I have been enjoying.  Here they are for your reading pleasure in descending order.

3. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones - Jingle All the Way
I know it's kind of early to be listening to christmas music, but this CD is great.  This CD reminds me more of their earlier records, ie self titled, instead of the more recent Hidden Land.  There is a larger focus on the original trio, and in this case its a good thing.  This is not to say that Jeff is not important, he is amazing on What Child is This?

This CD is a must listen, but I understand if you put it off till December

2.  Esbjorn Svensson Trio - Leucocyte
The last set of records from EST before Svensson passed away are an amazing tribute to every thing that the Esbjorn Svensson Trio was.  This CD is not as jazzy as their other CDs, like Tuesday Wonderland, instead there is a larger focus on avant-garde and classical music.  Don't get me wrong this recording is still EST through and through.

Not a great starting place, but defiantly a must listen.  I also highly recommend their Tuesday Wonderland and Live in Hamburg.

1. Minus the Bear - Acoustics
I discovered Minus the Bear last year when I picked up Planet of Ice on a whim at a record store.  I instantly fell in love with the dark electronic rock sound that PoI offered.  I have picked up Highly Refined Pirates, and while it is an excellent CD I still have a special place in my heart for PoI.  Any way back to Acoustics.  This EP features the new single Guns and Ammo.  This track is ok, but the rest of the CD is the real treat.  The other 6 songs are new acoustic arrangements of older Minus the Bear songs, most of which are from Planet of Ice.  This CD is a must by for fans of Minus the Bear and acoustic music in general.

You must listen to this CD.

Any way I need to get back to studying

Goodnight space cowboys...
